We hope everyone has a great Eclipse day! 🌕
There are LOTS of changes that happen in nature during a solar eclipse
🦌 Animal Behavior:
During a solar eclipse, animals can become confused or exhibit unusual behavior. Birds may stop chirping and return to their nests, while some nocturnal animals might come out, thinking it's nighttime.
🌡 Temperature Drop:
As the moon blocks the sun's rays, temperatures can drop noticeably. This sudden change in temperature can affect plants and animals, causing them to react differently than usual.
☀ Light and Shadows:
The eclipse creates unique lighting effects. Shadows become sharper, and sunlight filtering through tree leaves can create crescent-shaped projections on the ground.
🐦 Bird Reactions:
Birds might behave as if it's dusk, singing their evening songs and preparing for sleep. When the eclipse passes and the sun returns, they may resume their daytime activities.
🐛 Insects' Response:
Insects, especially those sensitive to light, may change their behavior during a solar eclipse. Some may become quieter or cease their activities temporarily.
🌱 Plants' Reactions:
Plants, which rely on sunlight for photosynthesis, may temporarily slow down their growth during the eclipse. Some flowers might close their petals, thinking it's dusk.
🌑 Shadow Bands:
Just before and after totality, thin, wavy lines of alternating light and dark, called shadow bands, can be seen moving across the ground. These bands are caused by atmospheric turbulence.
🌜 Animal Reactions to Twilight:
Some diurnal animals may start their evening routines during the eclipse's partial phases, mistaking the dim light for dusk. As totality approaches, nocturnal animals might become active, thinking it's nighttime.
🕊 Birds in Flight:
Birds in flight during a solar eclipse might return to their roosting spots, as they interpret the dimming light as the approaching end of the day.

Another Wednesday Work View 👀🌳
It's been pretty crazy to see all the destruction that came from the storms early this week. Some of our customers have had some pretty big cleanup projects for us!
We are glad our community is safe, as severe storms can be very unpredictable!
We hope everyone has been recovering well! 💚
